The AIA Bronx Chapter's Architecture and Community Committee has created a new educational program available "free" to 'Title 1' NYC public schools in the Bronx. The program will explore the creative professions of architecture and interior design and is available to participating schools for Grades 5-8 and High School. A workshop at the school will include visual presentations by the Committee as well as a hands-on design project for the students to explore, followed by a visit to an architecture firm. Two sessions are intended each year.
The March 2021 program for P.S. 86 in the Kingsbridge Heights section of the Bronx was conducted with Beyer Blinder Belle Architects & Planners LLP.
If you would like your school to participate in the Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 program, interested teachers, school administrators or parents should contact:
Sara Djazayeri, RA/AIA, Committee Chairperson, Phone: 877-891-7365, Email: email@example.com .
If your architecture firm is interested in volunteering to partner with the AIA Bronx Chapter for a program session, please contact us well.
